Arguably (just by me) the best band indie-pop band to come out in the last decade, Annuals, release their first album in nearly 5 years.
Pick up their album "Time Stamp" on Bandcamp for a small fee of 8 bucks.
Of course, you can download it for free like every other music junky on the planet.
But be aware that the band went broke making this album.
How about we give them some money back for what they've given to us.
Just sayin', You will not be disappointed.

Lemaitre, has been on fire lately!
Heavy dub-dance tunes that bubble and burst in your ear drums.

"Carving Away The Clay impresses upon the idea of an ongoing process in which raw material is stripped off of anything superfluous or impeding until the essential parts of ourselves are exposed. It is a never ending process of striving for perfection in all areas of life."
..Could I have said it any better?
Absolutely not.
I will add one thing though:
The songs flow in a serpentine motion in my head.
Dizzying, but in a sort of hypnotic way.
Best consumed with your eyes closed.
3 AM.
Feel Flows~
P.S- The synth solo in "Lonely Town" reminds me of what Rick Wright might've played back in the day.

The Postal Service
in 2012, Pitchfork did an interview with Ben Gibbard.
He told tales of his latest album with his band Death Cab For Cutie and had a brief discussion about his solo record. Sure, people were interested. But what should have been the main topic of conversation is his love for slow pulsing electronica music.
Back in '03 Gibbard teamed up with acclaimed electronic producer DNTEL.
They later formed one of the most influential bands of the decade.
The Postal Service.
What people don't realize about the album is that no matter how brightly polished, it was an album about loneliness.
It would seem that Gibbard was going through a rough patch in his life. A patch that apparently could only be filled by the crisp clasp of an E-drum and a twinkling synth.
Now, in 2013, the age of bumping fists and slutty clothes, The Postal Service announce their return to give the world some much needed closure.
Fans can rest easily knowing that Gibbard doesnt plan on stepping out of the spotlight anytime soon,
but he has concluded that there will be no new album to follow their long list of tour dates.
And as much as I would love to see The Postal Service in a small and cramped venue in which their sound is best consumed, I know that it's nearly impossible to get that lucky.

S O H N
In the beginning of Fresh-Honey
we added a band called S O H N.
Known for their ambient electronica
and distanced vocals.
Well... they came out with a new EP
and we need to give them credit for it.
After all, its a cut throat world out there.
Any music that even touches some sort of originality
is worth the listen.

The Postal Service
Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) has said that he refuses to make a new Postal Service album.
He claims that electronic-indie music is not where his head is at.
Well, as an avid fan of Postal Service
I must say,
F#ck you!!
....Eh its time for a re-listen anyway

Ch!nch!lla
LIYL: Postal Service, Ratatat, and Flaming Lips
Ch!nch!lla, is destined for BIG things.
On to their first EP, everything is chewed up for easy consumption.
Like the bird and the worm.
But the music we hear before us, is more then just jumbled notes and variations.
Its more than a wrap-it-up album.
Its everything the artist ever digested and kept close.
It's everything the artist believes or once believed in.
Stripped of any kind of uniform, Ch!nch!lla reveals themselves as one big ball of potential energy.
Every sound
-organic in itself-
comes forcibly together to create something new.
comes forcibly together to create something new.
Something more extraordinary and eventful.
Something that has no plan to stop growing.
Something that has no plan to stop growing.
However, there is a thin layer of darkness slowly widening its boarders as the album progresses.
But thats what sets you back into your chair.
It's what keeps you active and interested.
Quiet chants like "Im not afraid of dying",
over a faint synth,
pounding bass and glitchy electronica.
Just take the time out of the day and soon enough that head-bob that you cant seem to drop,
will slowly morph into something greater.
Something more powerful than words can explain.
In this case, and in most cases when referring to Ch!nch!lla,
we are talking about a fu#kin' rage!

...I call it "TRONmusik"

AWOLNATION
Feel Flows~~~~
imagine yourself as a cartographer
your ship is lost,
and your staring down what looks awfully like the rabbit hole in a story you once read.
You're floating toward some distant constellation.
But as you progress,
gravity begins to fuel your speed.
Before you know it,
there is fire to your feet.
...This song, is the soundtrack for that feeling..
In essence, "5ive" gum commercials aint got nothin' on the feelings flow..

Flying Lotus
The man doesn't need a mask.
You can stare into his eyes for hours...You wont learn a fuckin' thing.
He's too complicated.
Too messy.
Too free spirited, too mentally crowded.
But, he is also entirely too perfect.
WARNING: If you are an individual who cannot resist a clap and you are doing something even remotely important, don't listen to this song. You will feel the need to get the fuck up and rage.
