LIYL: Flying Lotus, Washed Out, and Passion Pit

You ready?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

LA glitch-electronica with ambient vocals that stretch and stream in and out of colorful phrasing..
Colorful phrasing that stretch and stream in and out of textured percussion..
Textured percussions that stretch and stream in and out of your petty fuckin' ear drums.

Got it? good.

Home Brew

"Home brew are a smooth, refreshing ale that will make you feel golden and moist inside just like you did before big kid pants. They have a distinct feel-good sound and sincere lyricism that's relevant to New Zealand culture, and their live act is so well executed you can barely tell that they have major substance abuse issues"

.....Sitting alone in your room with a bottle of whiskey, never felt so damn right.

Download "Home Brew's" album off of their Bandcamp --- Here

Balmorhea

School is really settling in now, isnt it?
...Where has the sun gone?

its like sand,
the tighter you grip it, the quicker it slips through your fingers.

AWOLNATION

Feel Flows~~~~
imagine yourself as a cartographer
your ship is lost,
and your staring down what looks awfully like the rabbit hole in a story you once read.
You're floating toward some distant constellation.
But as you progress,
gravity begins to fuel your speed.
Before you know it,
there is fire to your feet.

...This song, is the soundtrack for that feeling..

In essence, "5ive" gum commercials aint got nothin' on the feelings flow..

Shakey Graves

If you get a chance, see this man live!
Nothin' wrong with a dude in a cowboy hat, with a guitar and bass drum drilled out of a suitcase.
---Pick up his album at Bandcamp.

P.S- If you dont believe me, believe the state of Texas... They loved this album so much they dedicated a day to him..
February 9th = Shakey Graves Day

...And if for some reason you believe that the Folk genre (as a whole) has been beaten in to the ground,
get ready to be proven wrong... Bitch.

Volcano Choir

...This reminds me of my childhood.
It reminds me of collecting shells, getting lost in the woods,
and swinging too high for my own good on the swing set.

..."Volcano Choir" is a collaboration between Justin Vernon from "Bon Iver" and a band called "A Collection of Bees"

 'Nuff said.
